Yesterday I found the following note hanging on the fridge…

dear students,

U have 15Gb per month downloadcapacity.
This is A LOT, it should be more than enough !!!
for all of you together.

This year (and only this year) there has been a constant problem of to much downloading.

This means that at least one of you is VERY ANTI SOCIAL!
And does not care about his fellow students.

I have no way of finding out who it is.

I will not change the excisting capacity because it should be (and always has been) more than enough.
It is not possible to change it for a limited period (to get you through the exams)

I am NOT happy with this!

Ewald

PS: I would like to know ASAP who would want a contract for next year.

Has he ever heard of the word diplomacy? LoL…A contract next year? No, thank you.

A thing that my family has tried to teach us since we (my sis and I) were children is that there are several ways of saying the same thing. One could say:, for example

Dear students, I consider that the downloading capacity is more than enough for six people, and since it is the first time I encounter some problems I do not plan to change it. Thank for your cooperation and understanding. I would like to know ASAP who wants a contract for next year.

That would have been a lot much better. Because I am not happy with a kitchen that is close from tearing down, a stinky overpriced room and a door that doesn’t work…

Ah~

Maybe it is just my imagination…Any opinion?

Today I saw a man paying a coke (light) with his card. 0.47 €. Even the cost of printing the ticket is higher, isn’t it?

Things that can happen only in Belgium.

Spaans

With or Without you….
I can’t live…with or without THEM

these are not my glasses XDLately, I have been having difficulties to concentrate on my studies, and since I can’t read properly I decided to get my eyes checked. No wonder I couldn’t study well. Unsurprisingly my right eye is worse than before. 1 dioptry worse, to be precise.

Now…I have six-dot-twentyfive dioptries in my right eye and just four in the left.

Honestly, I am used to the glasses so that is not the problem. Of course it is a shock to my self-steem, but I will get it back, even if I have to kidnap it XD

The problem lies in the economical shock. If I don’t want to look nerdy, I have to buy reduced glasses. Around 200€ per glass…>.<

Spaans

My favourite piece for solo guitar and orchestra. I am sure you will know which piece I am talking about after listening to this video. It is famous worldwide.

I love Yepe’s interpretation, because…I cannot describe what I feel around the minute 08:40. O.o

Anyway…

The thing is…A concert is going to be held in Antwerpen. It is called The Spanish Guitar and, of course, this concert is going to be played.

However…

It is quite expensive. 35€ the cheapest tickets. And my sister is coming that day, so I guess going to a concert is  not her idea of holidays in Antwerpen. T-T

I would like to go, really, really, realy…But….There are too many “buts”

Ah~I am still young. I am sure someday I will listen to it live. =)

Spaans

I am human (surprise!) and I am sometimes on bad mood too.

Specially when somebody I love has gone far, I have exams and I have to work. Add up that My fingers are burnt  kkk

Furthermore….I got a prize at the end of this beautiful day : being stopped by the police. (hurray! ¬¬)

<Mevrouw!> -they called me

<Sorry, ik spreek geen nederlands>-I said

<Français?>

<Oui…>    [

I did not know that my bike’s lights were not working. And I was really afraid of getting a fine…

Fortunately the front light only needed some adjustement and I could prove it -normally- works. And the back light…Well, it had still enough power to show it only needs a replacement of batteries, so I just got scolded by the police, but I do not have to pay. It is for your safety- they said - (sure it is not for the X euros…)

Of course, they asked about my documents (even the colour of my residence permit), my address, my ID card, etc…And now I am registered as a scolded citizen.

Well, it could have been worse….

Spaans

<Mevrouw!> -me dijeron

<Sorry, ik spreek geen nederlands>-respondí yo

<Français?>

<Oui…>    [

Mijn achternaam is G*R*T**!!!! 2007, 12 September

This is not my real ID card, of course^^

Every time I go to the bank I have to ask first if they speak English. Then, when they start looking for me/my account in the database I have to say. <<Excuseer. Mijn achternaam is G*****>>

When I went to get my card last monday, I also had to clarify which one of the words on my ID was my surname. The bank clerk was trying to find me under the S

I reckon it may be some kind of shock reading such a long name like mine in an identity card. But it seems obvious (at least to me) that both Sara and Verónica are names, so the rest has to be the surname.

Spaans

Mijn acthernaam is G*****”

¡Tal vez trabaje yo all!

Sometimes I can’t believe the things that happen to me.

Today, I tried to go to the city hall in the morning to get my residence permit, but I didn’t wake up on time. So I went during the break, almost running, just to find it was already closed. So i went back to the University.

On the way, I found a Spanish restaurant and, since it was not expensive (as much as you can put in a 500 ml box for 5€) I decided to enter and ask for something. And, of course, the cooker was Spanish, so we started talking about what we were doing here, where we were from in Spain, etc. I didn’t tell him anything, but he told me he was looking for someone who could work in the other restaurant (comocomo) and if I knew somebody interested…I answered: <<me!>>

So…I have been offered a job. Tomorrow I will call him and we will fix a timetable. If it is convenient, I will accept the job… :)

No grant… 2007, 31 July

Oops...I also upload it to Mixi^^ ehem

In the end, MAPFRE considered me to be neither an excellent student, nor poor enough, so they didn’t give me the grant I had applied for. :P

[Related random thought: average...Have I ever told you how much I hate this word?]

Early in this morning I woke up in order to buy the newspaper, but….

I was really disappointed when I realised my name wasn’t written on it. Snif, Snif.

There’s no point in crying now. I can do nothing, so I better think of a way to get the money…

Mama told me she’s gonna pay for everything, but actually that was exactly what I didn’t want her to do. I feel guilty when taking mama’s money >.<

Spanish

Me hace sentir culpable >.<
