Well…a long time again without updating my blog. Ooops!

It seems life has become normal (i.e. boring) here in Antwerpen and I have not a lot of news.

Ea, but sometimes I enjoy being here^^

Today I went to the Christmas Market in Brussels. And we had a wonderful weather (i.e. not raining) so everybody was outside. It was really crowded! Sometimes we couldn’t even move!

Bueno, de nuevo ha pasado mucho tiempo sin actualizar. Parece ser que mi vida aquí se ha vuelto normal (es decir, aburrida) y que ando escasa de noticias.

Pero, a veces, me divierto.

Hoy fui a la Feria de Navidad en Bruselas. Y como hacía un tiempo maravilloso (es decir, no llovía ¬¬) todo el mundo estaba en la calle. ¡Estaba abarrotado!¡Había ocasiones en las que no nos podíamos mover!

Y, para demostrarlo, unas fotitos de tan genial día…

I usually listen to music while cooking or eating in the kitchen and, although I don’t know the most popular radio station here, I always end up listening to Q music.

Well…I was having my tasty cream of carrot soup while listening to the radio when a familiar sound filled my ears.

Huk. Bisbal in het Nederlands versie. As if we hadn’t had enough with the Spanish version of the song…

Well..I don’t know the lyrics in Spanish, but maybe I give them a try in Dutch. kkkk

Last week I went to Brussels (heart of Europe) but I hadn’t posted the pics…So…here they are.^^

Actually I go to Brussels once a week to attend the Korean lessons. At least, theorically.  Because until now I have not gone even a single day! The problem is Mr. Boss calls me to work, and I cannot say “no”. So I miss my lessons…

Bueno, les dejo con unas fotitos de Bruselas^^ Se supone que voy una vez en semana a Bruselas a clases de coreano, pero lo cierto es que hasta ahora no he ido…El Jefazo me llama siempre para trabajar, y pierdo las clases. ¡Una lastima!

Bruselas está a 40 minutos en tren de Antwerpen…Es menos de lo que tardo en ir de mi casa en Tenerife a la Universidad^^

I brougth some anime cds here to watch in my spare time. One of them was MONSTER, an anime serie I was addicted to so I brought the two cds my Japanese teacher had given to me^^ (I have them right in front of  me  now)

But…surprise! The serie is not complete (I didn’t know it!) and I cannot download it here, otherwise I will lose my internet connection again.

Fortunately, my loved sister is going to download and send me a cd by snail  mail^^ In the meanwhile I can watch it on  youtube…

I just wanted to share a video I like. This strange tale is included in the anime (I guess it is not a real tale) and -I don’t know why- leaves me with a feeling of emptiness and sadness. However, I like the message of the tale…

Resulta que al venir para acá me he traído varios cedés de anime para ver en el tiempo libre. Uno de ellos era (es) MONSTER, una serie a la que era adicta así que me traje los dos cedés que mi profesor de japonés me había dado (aquí están en el escritorio, justo en frente de mí)

Pero…¡Sorpresa! La serie no está completa (¡no lo sabía!) y aquí no puedo descargar, a no ser que desee quedarme sin internet (de nuevo).

Por suerte mi querida hermanita se la va a descargar y me va a enviar un cedé por correo ordinario^^ Mientras, puedo verla en youtube.

Realmente lo que quería es compartir un video que me gusta. Este cuento tan raro está incluido en el anime (imagino que no es un cuento de verdad) y, no sé el porqué de la sensación de soledad y tristeza, de vacío que me deja. Sin embargo, el cuento me gusta…

Last night after work the SuperBoss and his wife invited me to go to the Vat’T Vat, a pub that is said to have more than a hundred of different kind of beers. 

So, there we were: the couple, my colleage, two belgian guys that work in the piercing shop next to comocomo and an American friend of the S-Boss, trying to decide which beer to drink.

Fortunately, they decided my drink and I had a Judas, made in Belgium and definetely nothing extraordinary but not bad. In fact, I liked it =)

Later they asked for one of the best beers in the world. Actually they said the best but I am quite esceptical when it comes to absolute terms such as this one…

It was a beer from the Abbey St. Sixtus, made by monks in a limited edition of a couple of hundreds bottles a year.

I don’t remember the name, but there’s no doubt it was exceptional. Although its taste was almost inexistent, it was so smooth that you might think you were drinking some kind of soft milkshake.

Anoche despues del trabajo el Jefazo y su esposa me invitaron al Vat’T Vat, un pub del que se dice que tiene más de cien tipos diferentes de cerveza.

Pues ahí estabamos: la pareja, mi compañero, dos chicos belgas que trabajan en la tienda de piercings cercana a comocomo y un amigo americano del Jefazo, intentando decidir qué tomar.

Afortunadamente, ellos decidieron por mí y yo bebí una Judas, made in Belgium y nada del otro mundo pero no mala. De hecho, estaba buena =)

Despues pidieron una de las mejores cervezas del mundo. Realmente dijeron la mejor, pero yo soy bastante excéptica cuando se usan estos términos…

Se trataba de una cerveza de la Abadía St. Sixtus, elaborada por monjes en una edición limitada a un centenar de botellas por año.

No recuerdo el nombre, pero qué duda cabe de que era excepcional. Su sabor era casi inexistente, era tan suave que parecía una especie de batido (jo…no se me ocurre una descripción mejor)
